About the Iraqi Dinar

The currency of Iraq is known as the Iraqi dinar (IQD), sometimes referred to as the New Iraqi dinar. It is the currency used in the economy of Iraq at this time. The IQD being used now is printed by the De La Rue Company and employs a number of high tech security features to thwart counterfeiting. The dinar is issued by the Central Bank of Iraq and comes in 7 denominations of banknotes: 50,250, 500, 1k, 5k, 10k and 25k.
